Jenny Stefansdotter Stentoft is a designer rooted in material, branching into craft. The practice include textile, print and pattern design, research and development in reuse of material, sloyd and craft techniques as tools for conversation and transition, towards a material culture caring for all living. Growing, forging, drawing and studying plants plays a great part of the work. Plants and the ecologies they live in, free or curated, provide situations, materia, visual influence and a framework of sustainability.

Working with and finding place for wasted material have always been a part of Jenny's work and she uses craft techniques to examine material qualities and areas of use, both in imagination and practice. Working with the persspective that material as waste is a missundestanding, one should rather talk about 'wasted material'. Preventing material to get thrown away becuase it's percieved invaluable when it's rather a resource.

The work exists in the crossing of design, craft, research and education. A deep knowledge of material, pattern, composition and a drive to work within a sustainable material culture, is the foundation.
